Infernal - Punk Disco

"Get right to the point, get busy boy"

I've consistantly enjoyed Infernal's singles, but I couldn't get into their debut album. Electric Cabaret, the new one, is a different story completely. Even after one listen I can tell that this is going to be a major release of 2008. The production just floored me. Each song is such a masterpiece of the genre, and instrumental closer Behind The Music is jaw dropping. This is a band that has upped their game tenfold, and even though the album is a bit overlong at 14 tracks, it will be difficult to top. In fact, the only artist in the dance-pop genre that I can see doing it is Lady GaGa, but we'll see when her album's released. For now, Infernal reigns supreme. Punk Disco is perhaps the best example of their newfound eclectism. It is a 100% perfect pop song with AMAZING production. It's like old-style Infernal meeting Scissor Sisters in a club and challenging them to a dance fight. It is stunningly good.

The new album is fantastic, but I'd say the best new track is "REDEFINITION" hands down. Epic smash waiting to happen. Infernal are brilliant.

Absolutely - my jaw kept on dropping further to the floor with each track when i listened today. Magnif! Same difference have a lot to live up in the world of boy-girl pop duos :P

Redefinition is my other favorite, and would have made a perfect album opener. The entire thing (barring the boring ballads) is pretty darn good, though.
